The buttons are a little close together, but it didn't take me long to get used to that. I appreciate the compact size of the board, so it's a reasonable trade-off. Preset switching buttons are on the bottom row while effects switching buttons are on the row above it. Makes sense, since most of the common switching is between presets. Overall, I'm really impressed with the design and construction of this floor unit. It's an indispensable addition to my Line 6 Spider V. I would definitely recommend this board to a friend. I took the leap of faith and was not disappointed! It works wonderfully with my Spider IV 150 2X12 combo. I can use the quick loop function like a looper is supposed to work I. I had the Line 6 FBV Express for my Spider III 75 amp years ago. If these units were cars, the FBV Express would be a Fiat 500, and the FBV 3 would be a BMW M3! World's difference as far as quality, ease of use, and visual feedback. Not saying the FBV Express is a bad pedal, but this one feels sturdy and the switches are much more quiet.
